Jason Smith

As Senior Vice President of Construction Management, Jason is passionate about establishing and communicating structure and responsibility towards systematic delivery of Construction Management services.

Current Role

Jason oversees Rising’s Construction Management services resulting in successful execution of tenant improvements and capital projects at Rising owned or managed properties. Leveraging extensive commercial general contractor experience as a project engineer, superintendent, and manager, Jason provides value-generating perspectives and processes during preconstruction, construction, and project close-out. Jason collaborates closely with property owners, leasing brokers, property managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with requirements, resources, and quality expectations.

About Jason Smith

Jason enjoys spending time with his family and, in particular, being a Dad to his three young boys. On the weekends, Jason may be spotted with his dog, friends, and/or family exploring the Sierras, chasing a solitary fishing or camping spot.

Experience & Expertise

Prior to joining Rising, Jason mastered his craft being mentored from industry leaders in design-build project delivery in Southern California and Hawaii. His construction supervision and management experience includes both new base building development and tenant improvement projects ranging from hospitality, retail, multi-family high-rise, adaptive reuse, office high-rise core and shell, K-12 Education, and OSHPD 3. He proudly holds an engineering degree from the University of Michigan and is a registered Civil Engineer in the state of California.
