Julia Zhu is the Director of Accounting and Reporting at Rising Realty Partners. She is responsible for directing the accounting practices and controls for Rising's investment portfolio and oversees daily accounting operations.
Prior to joining Rising, Julia held a senior position at CIM Group, a transformational urban real estate and infrastructure investment firm founded in 1994 with over $13.9 billion in assets under management, where she led the accounting and financials reporting team of Fund I, an institutional opportunity platform invests in repositioning and development projects in established and/or emerging urban neighborhoods located in more than 30 communities with approximately 100 investments including office, residential, retail, parking, hotel, development site/land, with over $600 million in investor commitments. Julia also led accounting and finance team in establishing SMA fund, an institutional value-add investment platform with $250 million in investor commitments.
Julia has also held senior finance and accounting positions at BNY Mellon Alternative investment services, where she managed full cycle of accounting and financial reporting for debt and private equity funds. Julia earned a B.B.A in Finance and Accounting from The Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
Julia has also led treasury team for her home church for years. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, gardening, and playing crochet.
