Construction Coordinator

Laverne Meighan-Cooper is Rising’s Construction Coordinator. She is responsible for coordinating and communicating with the VP of Construction, Asset Management and Property Management as it relates to contracts, insurance, and implementing policies and procedures for the Rising Realty Partners portfolio.

Prior to joining Rising, Laverne obtained 15 years of experience in property management. Much of it as a Tenant Service Coordinator and Contract and Insurance Administrator, and through a variety of other responsibilities at City National Plaza under three different ownerships with such companies like Shuwa Investments, North America Building Management, Thomas Property Group, and CommonWealth Partners.

Laverne also earned a paralegal certification from Merit College in Van Nuys.

Outside of work, Laverne is very active in her church. She currently sits on the Holman CDC committee for "Jobs for Kids", helping their fund-raising campaigns and placing teens in part-time summer jobs. She is also an active member of the Liturgical Dance Ministry, ministering every third Sunday and special events. Laverne enjoys dancing, traveling, volunteering, watching and playing most sports, and recently took up golf.
