Christopher Rising is the Co-founder and CEO of Rising Realty Partners (Rising), a family-owned, Los-Angeles based, vertically-integrated real estate investment and operating platform with more than four million square feet under ownership or management. Rising’s approach to real estate focuses on creating superior risk adjusted returns for its investors while advancing environmental, technological, and social improvements at their properties.

Under Christopher’s visionary leadership, Rising is credited with kick-starting the revitalization of historic buildings in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) into creative office buildings, attracting new and unique businesses back to the region.  Rising’s transformation and subsequent sale of the PacMutual Campus, one of the oldest functioning office structures in the heart of DTLA, was described by the Los Angeles Times as selling for a “record price for a pure office building downtown.”  Christopher is recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the 500 most influential people in Los Angeles

The company currently owns some of the most iconic properties in Downtown Los Angeles as well as Denver, CO. It also owns Multi-Tenant Light Industrial projects in Sacramento, CA (Alpine Industrial Park & South Point); Las Vegas, NV (Cheyenne Airport Center); and Houston, TX (Commerce Center Stafford).

Prior to Rising, Christopher served as Senior Vice President/Asset Transactions at MPG Office Trust, Inc. (NYSE:MPG) and in 2003, he founded The Rising Real Estate Group (RREG) which partnered with Barker Pacific Group (BPG) to establish Hamilton Capital Partners (HCP). Christopher sat on the investment committee for HCP, a co-investment vehicle which has acquired more than 25 real estate assets. He began his professional career as an associate at the law firm Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now known as Pillsbury Winthrop), spent several years in the Office of the President at Cushman Realty Corporation and was a Director at Cushman & Wakefield. 

Christopher is a graduate of Duke University, where he attended on a football scholarship, playing under legendary head coach, Steve Spurrier, and Loyola Law School. 

He currently serves on the River LA Board (www.RiverLA.org), and formerly served on the Board of Overseers at Loyola Law School and the Duke Athletic Advisory Board. Christopher is a past President of the Board of Chandler School in Pasadena and served for ten years on the Board of Regents of Loyola High School, where he chaired the Investment Committee.

Christopher lives in Pasadena with his wife, Anna-Christine and their three children, Annelise, Arianne and John-Carl.
